Today I was sitting in the office, being a Friday...I was dragging. Then my best friend sent me an email (well actually 2) that really eased my day.
I love vampires and zombies. The amuse me. I read vampire & zombie books, watch movies, basically anything I can get my hands on. When I was younger I was convinced that Vampires were real. I was actually convinced they existed, mostly because I could have sworn I saw one. YES, even to this day, I still question that encounter.
So the story of my meeting with a vampire starts of fairly amusing:
I was at the mall in St. Louis. I know right off the bat; you are thinking at the mall right...way would a vampire be at the mall?! Well heck if you where a vampire living in 1990something then really where else would you hang out to meet unsuspecting young girl? DUH...mall is the perfect spot! So anyway, back to my meeting. It was dusk (of course, vampires cannot be out during daylight hours) and the pales guy I have ever seen walked out of the mall. Not pale in a sick way or in a "I was born that way", but in a "I'm the living dead way". The guy had the darkest eyes and hair I think is even possible and honestly, there was not a single speck of white in his eyes. Like creepy...all black eyes (maybe they were contacts...this concept revels itself to me now). This guy looks around the parking lot and spots a group of 15/16 year old girls gabbing and laughing. He just leans up against the side of the building eyeing one of them. She had is back to him and suddenly she stops laughing and talking to her friends becomes very stiff, turn directly around and walks strait over to this guy...the vampire. She stops in front of him and he takes her by the arm and leads her away into the dark covers of the parking lot. I never saw that girl or guy again. I know I didn't go to that mall very often and to be honest, I could have easily missed them, but I didn't see them inside the mall later or when I left, but I did pass that same group of girls a few times while walking around the mall shopping and the girl was not with them. So that is my story. And although I cannot prove that the guy was a vampire, I can also not disprove it...so we are just going with, I love vampires and even thought I am old enough to know they don't exist a little part of me wants to think they are lurking out there in the dark.
Anyway. The email my friend sent me, it was a comic on how to avoid a vampire attack.
It was the funniest thing I had seen all day. I wanted to roll over laughing, but heck the guy in the comic is definitely not going to get attacked by a vampire...that is for sure!! AND lets just say that if the girl would have had any of those weapons that the guy in the comic did, the I think she would be alive today and not one of the living dead!
