Dream World

Last night I had so many problems sleeping. Every time I closed my eyes I ended up dreaming of Zombies. Usually that is cool, I have dreams...or I guess one would call them nightmares like that all the time. I think it is because the books I read are usually have vampires or zombies in them. But lately I have been reading a book for work (The Ultimate Sales Machine) and the 2nd book in The Saga of the Seven Suns. So really...no zombies lately. So last night was really weird, and I think the strangest thing of all was that I actually kept waking up. At one point I woke up almost screaming! I was in a cold sweat and freaked out. I had to get out of the bed and take a breather for a second. I don't really understand it because in my zombie dreams, I am usually fighting, NOT running!

In my dream it seemed that everyone was a zombie, it wasn't a group of us fighting to survive it was just me, left alone to struggle against and undefeatable creature. They were not slow and stupid; the zombies in my dream were smart and fast. It was as if they were an advanced version. Not as smart as the average person, but smart enough to know how to walk up some stairs or look up into a tree or into a window, but not smart enough to turn a door knob or pick up a rock to break the window. I don't know, but it makes me cautious about going to sleep tonight.

Maybe I need to just leave the computer on next to my bed and try to recall it next time. Heck it takes a lot to wake me in a cold sweat since, as I mentioned before, in my dreams I am usually running from serial killers or taking down zombies. Maybe I could actually come up with a good horror novel/movie for once. Cuz we all know that it has been a long time since a truly blood curdling horror movie has been out.

I guess the reason could be that I have been working on the layout of the Zombie novel I would like to start working on, but I have even put that to the back burner since I just got back my edits from my wonderful editor on my other novel earlier this week. So any time that I do spend writing has been focused on that. I have given myself a goal to get my book done by the end of the year. I know that sound like a long way off, but heck that is just getting it completed ready to ship of to some publishers to see if I can get it printed.
